Locally, the inventory of homes actively for sale on a typical day in July increased by 10.8% over the past year, the largest increase in inventory since December 2020 and the months supply increased +46% providing a 2.2 months worth of supply.
This amounted to 86 more homes actively for sale in San Luis Obispo County on a typical day in July compared to the previous year and more choice for buyers who are still looking for a new home.

Central Coast Real Estate Market Update

It's no secret that the housing market has been on the upswing for a few years now. Prices have been increasing and inventory has been low. However, recent data shows that we may be moving towards a more balanced market. Housing inventory is on the rise, indicating that buyers have more options to choose from. The pace of sales is slowing, which is to be expected after such an incredible couple of years. All in all, this looks like good news for both buyers and sellers!
